Schools must be member schools of their state association or approved for competition by their respective State Association. For an event to receive sanctioning in Illinois all invited and participating schools in the event must be member schools of their high school state association or approved for competition by their respective high school state association. If any listed school does not receive approval the event will be denied by the IHSA. Any non-high school team cannot be involved in any respect with a sanctioned event in IL. Your event is approved because non-high school teams were not listed. If you have a non-high school team involved, in any respect, with your event you must notify thenry@ihsa.org immediately.

At the time of this approval only LaPorte Lalumiere was invited. Should any additional schools be invited Indiana should be notified immediately because out of state limitations for members exist. Out-of-State Contest Limitations – IHSAA Member Schools may only participate in an out-of-state contest if the site/venue of contest is within 300 miles from the Indiana State line, the contest is against a school or schools that are a member of a state athletic association, and the event is sponsored or co-sponsored by a member school of a state association. (IHSAA Bylaw Rule 10-1.1)

MHSAA Schools are not permitted to attend events where non-members from other states are playing -- in this case, LaLumiere.
